AMPL Optimization LLC

You can buy AMPL directly from us, the AMPL company. We offer single-machine and floating licenses, for a variety of platforms.

To download a trial version that handles up to 300 variables and 300 constraints plus objectives (after presolve), see the instructions on our downloads page.

To obtain an unrestricted trial version, fill out our trial license form. Return the completed form by fax to +1 425-940-6286 or email to fax@ampl.com.

We also directly sell the nonlinear solvers KNITRO and CONOPT. Instructions for obtaining prices, ordering instructions, and unrestricted trial versions are the same as above.

Other companies also sell AMPL. Prices for AMPL and solvers are set individually by these vendors, and may vary according to the type of computer used. Special prices for AMPL/solver packages, multiple licenses, and academic use are available on request. Support contracts, training, and consulting are also available from some vendors.

If your favorite solver does not appear here, you or the solver's developer may be able to make the solver work with AMPL by writing a suitable driver. See our instructions on hooking your solver to AMPL for details.
