Questions for optimization, initiated by John Gregory and currently
maintained at the Optimization
Technology Center of Argonne National Laboratory and Northwestern
University.
- The Mathematical
Programming Society publishes a newletter and a journal and holds
a triennial international conference, all devoted to optimization
topics.
- INFORMS Online, the Web site of the
Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences,
provides extensive information relevant to optimization and related
fields, including searchable databases of
- operations research publications
in about 150 journals, currently covering 1988-1993
- abstracts
of presentations at all INFORMS (formerly ORSA/TIMS and TIMS/ORSA)
semi-annual meetings since fall 1990
- Live OR is the Web site of
the Operational Research Society.
- Opt-Net is
an electronic forum for the optimization community formed under the
auspices of the Deutsche Mathematiker Vereinigung (DMV).
- sci.op-research (with
searchable archives) is
the most active usenet group for optimization queries and
discussion.
- Michael Trick's Operations
Research Page has links for many Web sites that are pertinent to
optimization.
